Tressel Ball

For those college football fans that are not fans of Ohio State have a hard time understanding or taking a liking to the way Tressel coaches. Now a days its all about how many passing yards, the big highlight plays, and putting up 40pts per game. Tressel aka Senator Tressel brings back the old school football days. Running the football, playing top 5 Defense and field position. Sure Tressel isn't the flashiest of coaches but he expects execution from his players. And yes sometimes it doesn't work against teams like Florida and Illinois with the spread offense but everybody has their bad days. And I'm sure his record will only improve against those types of teams when he gets more chances to play them.

Since taking over the reins of the Ohio State football team in 2001, Tressel has guided the Buckeyes to an overall record of 73-15, six bowl appearances, including four BCS games(soon to be 5), five 10-win seasons, four Big Ten titles and one national championship. Tressel is 2nd behind Pete Carroll in wins since 2001, Carroll comes in with 65-12 record not counting this year. Carroll has brought 2 Nat'l titles. So to those who hate on the way tressel coaches shouldn't hate because it isn't flashy he does what he has to do to give his players best chance to compete and win.

And to those who hate on the ohio state schedule, they tend to forget past 2 years we have competed against Texas a top 5 program. And have USC on our schedule coming up other top programs play teams well below their level. Look at michigan playing app st, LSU playing tulane, Alabama vs UL Monore. So to all those saying we play a soft schedule we are not the only team in the NCAA that does this. Your goal is to go undefeated and compete for a National Title.
